Every year on the 11th day, at the 11th hour of the 11th month, millions of people take two minutes of silence to remember people who were killed, injured and effected in wats. The reason why we remember at this time is because in 1918 WW1 ended. We wear poppies as we are REMEMBERING those people who died for their country. Poppies are used because these are the flowers that grew on the battlefields! Don't forget to remember the British soldiers!

Jack we really liked how you explain what armistice day is, and why we wear poppies. Miss Scott particularly liked how you mentioned the British soldiers, past and present!
